This month, Charcroft will once again be exhibiting at the Sensors and Instrumentation show, joined on the stand by TT Electronics and VPG. With product specialists and design engineers to hand, we will be able to assist you with any queries you have.

Design engineer Kevin Smith of VPG will be on the stand to introduce the latest product from VPG - an industry-exclusive ultra-high precision current sense resistor. As an industry-first, the CSM3637F current-sense resistor combines excellent load-life stability with low TCR for applications up to 3W in military, aerospace, energy and medical markets.

You will also be able to take the opportunity to discuss alternatives with TT Electronics - with Honeywell announcing that they have discontinued their Infrared Sensors product line, many customers will be required to qualify new parts, and as such will be seeking alternative parts. In this instance, we have already identified that TT electronics’ OPTEK will have many direct, drop-in replacements we can offer from their Optoelectronics line, which covers many position and presence detectors, plus discrete sensor components.

In the Innovation Showcase we will be displaying the Fredericks Company Dual Axis Tilt Switch. Aimed at industrial applications, this wide-range, dual-axis tilt switch has settable trip angles from ±1° to ±45° with (4) relay outputs; one for each direction in each axis. These relays provide an extremely repeatable output within ±0.1° and are rated for 2 A at 30 V DC. This tilt switch also comes standard with RS-232 communications so that you can easily change settings prior to installation or in the field. The robust housing and potting environmentally seal this unit and give it an ingress protection rating of IP67.
