MML Capacitors
Exxelia's revolutionary MML™ ultra-high energy density Film Capacitors are a game changer in the industry due to their unparalleled energy density of 400 J/dm3. This allows for a significant reduction in size and weight in comparison to traditional Polypropylene or Polyester dielectrics, as well as an increased operating temperature of up to 140°C and protection against transient voltage.
Not only do MML™ capacitors offer a large flexibility in design, allowing for low profile configurations, but they have also been tested in actual cases for controls and DC-Links functions in aircraft applications and have shown a reduction in size and weight of about 50% compared to other film technologies.
The exceptional properties of Exxelia's new MML™ capacitors make them suitable for a wide range of applications including power supplies, DC-links, AC/DC/AC power converters, charge/discharge or power generation functions of commercial/military aircraft, satellite platforms and payloads, launchers, defibrillators, downhole tools and any other applications that require confined electronics.

Thanks to its strong experience in MLCC manufacturing, Exxelia extends its RF capacitors product offering by developing the three broadband series XBL, UBL and UBZ. Exxelia's new broadband series combines high technical performances (ultra-low insertion loss and excellent return loss over a wide bandwidth up to 40GHz), quick installation (available in standard EIA sizes compatible with SMT pick & place) and easy soldering (made of reliable ceramic material compatible to any soldering process).

C48X dielectric: NPO and X7R advantages combined
Under working voltage, C48X dielectric provides equivalent capacitance values to an X7R material with the advantage of a very low dissipation factor (less than 5.10-4). It can also withstand very high dV/dt, up to 10kV/µs which makes it perfect for pulse and charge/discharge applications for firing units. Exxelia’s C48X capacitors, available from 200V to 5kV with EIA sizes from 1812 to 16080, are ideally suited for power applications where heat dissipation may be detrimental to performances and reliability, such as 400Hz Aircraft, Ignition systems, and Space, or as Precision/filtering capacitance in thermally challenged environment for AC or DC voltage.

CE2X (NPO) & CN2X (X7R) 2 new ranges of high temperature ceramic chips developed by Exxelia-Eurofarad
These two new ranges are designed to:
- Withstand operating temperatures up to 220°C,
- Cover operating voltages from 16V to 100V at 20°C (5V to 25V at 220°C),
- Cover capacitance values from 1 pF to 180nF in NPO and from 100pF to 4.7μF in X7R
To meet the need of miniaturization, Exxelia-Eurofarad proposes boxes range from 2220 size to 0402 size.
These capacitors are ideal for markets such as oil exploration, in which the components must be able to endure harder and longer temperatures, or for aeronautical or defence applications.
