Role OverviewWe are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Administrator to join our team at our head office in Llanwrtyd Wells. This role plays a key part in supporting both customers and the wider sales team, by managing customer enquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders, and maintaining strong relationships with accounts.
You will be the point of contact for a portfolio of customers, handling day-to-day communication and providing administrative support to ensure a high level of service is consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities
• Customer Service: Act as a key point of contact for assigned customer accounts, responding to queries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
• Quote Management: Prepare and issue accurate quotations based on customer requirements, liaising with suppliers and the wider sales team as needed.
• Order Processing: Enter customer orders into the system, ensure accuracy of data, and follow up with relevant departments to track progress.
• Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, supporting account retention and satisfaction.
• Sales Support: Work closely with internal and external sales colleagues to support the wider commercial team in meeting objectives.
• System Updates: Maintain accurate records of quotes, orders, and customer information in IT systems.
• Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve any issues related to deliveries, pricing discrepancies, or order fulfilment, ensuring clear communication throughout.
• Team Collaboration: Support cross-functional collaboration with purchasing, product management, and warehouse teams as needed.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
• Previous experience in a customer service or sales administration role
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Confident communicator with a strong customer-focused approach.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling data and pricing.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Outlook, Word).
Desirable:
• Experience working in the electronics, manufacturing, or distribution sector.
• Basic product knowledge in passive, electromechanical, or high-reliability components (training will be provided).

Role OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and commercially focused Strategic Sales Manager to lead and develop our sales function and drive growth across core markets.
The role combines senior-level account development and leadership, sales strategy, and customer engagement. While a technical or engineering background is not essential, strong product knowledge and the ability to translate that knowledge into commercial success is required.
This is a hybrid position, with the option to work remotely, but requires some travel to our headquarters in Llanwrtyd Wells, Mid Wales.
Key Responsibilities
• Sales Leadership: Lead, manage, and develop the sales teams, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Team Development: Provide ongoing coaching, support, and training for sales team members, including setting objectives and evaluating performance.
• Account Management: Maintain and grow relationships with key strategic customers, ensuring high levels of service, retention, and satisfaction.
• External Sales Oversight: Direct the activities of the external sales team, supporting territory planning, customer visits, and new business development.
• Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute sales strategies that support Charcroft’s long-term growth in key sectors including defence, aerospace, rail, and industrial.
• Business Development: Identify new markets and opportunities, leading initiatives to capture growth and expand customer base.
• Sales Reporting: Track sales performance, pipeline activity, and forecasts, delivering regular updates to the Directors.
• Customer Engagement: Represent Charcroft at customer meetings, trade events, and supplier reviews; support complex negotiations where needed.
• Supplier Partnerships: Collaborate with suppliers to align on objectives, drive growth initiatives, and maintain strong working relationships.
• Market Analysis: Keep abreast of industry trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity to inform decision-making and future direction.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
• Proven experience managing and developing sales teams.
• Strong B2B sales and key account management track record.
• Commercially driven, with the ability to lead customer strategy and achieve revenue targets.
• Strong product knowledge, particularly in passive, electromechanical, or high-reliability components.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
• Confident in using data to drive performance and reporting.
• Willing to travel regularly, including to Llanwrtyd Wells HQ.
• Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
• Experience within quality-critical industries (e.g., defence, aerospace, rail).
• Familiarity with ISO, AS, BS, or CECC quality standards.
• Technical or engineering experience (not essential).

Role OverviewWe are looking for a detail-focused Quality Engineer to support and maintain quality across our operations. This hands-on role involves internal quality checks, supplier and customer audits, documentation control, and ensuring adherence to ISO standards and other quality processes.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in working within a certified environment and comfortable interacting with teams across production, purchasing, and customer service to ensure quality remains a top priority.
Key Responsibilities
• Support and maintain ISO 9001 and AS9120 certification requirements and procedures.
• Carry out and support customer and supplier audits, assisting with preparation, execution, and follow-up.
• Perform quality checks on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.

Job Title: Apprentice Maintenance Technician
Location: Charcroft Electronics, Llay, North Wales
Salary: In line with apprenticeship guidelines and experience

Hours: 37.5 per week (plus day release for college attendance)

Role OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to begin their engineering career in a hands-on environment. As an Apprentice Maintenance Engineer, you will support the day-to-day maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment across our facility, working closely with our experienced Maintenance Engineer.
The role includes attending day release at college to work towards recognised qualifications in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in routine maintenance tasks on machinery, tools, and plant equipment.
• Support breakdown repairs to minimise downtime and disruption.
• Carry out basic fault finding and preventative maintenance.
• Keep records of maintenance work and support with documentation.
• Help ensure the site remains safe, operational, and compliant.
