With 2019 on the horizon, what can we expect from it? After seeing a year of unprecedented demand and the subsequent issues of lead-times and availability, we are finally starting to see lead-times stabilise. Demand still remains high, but whether this can continue at current levels remains to be seen.
This year has been so challenging that it has been the downfall of many of our competitors, sadly seeing some going out of business, whilst Charcroft has instead thrived. What is so different about the way we have managed the challenges thrown at us through the last year? We feel that it is down to a few key things: Knowledge and expertise, how we do business, and who we are.
Charcroft prides itself on our in-house knowledge and expertise, which in our humble opinion, is second to none. Our internal sales team have nearly a century of experience in the industry between them, whilst our product specialists have the technical expertise that enables us to support our customers in their design and technical requirements. Our Quality department strives for perfection within the business, and this year have achieved AS 9120 certification. We can provide specialist support for extended product life cycles using our library of legacy datasheets and database of customer-specific part numbers. Additionally, we can offer on-site manufacturing facilities including a VPG Approved Precision Centre, and specialist engineering support on special projects.
How we do business is pivotal to our core values.
