Two new surface-mount clock oscillators from Euroquartz are UK-manufactured and offer 24 hours turnround for samples and three to seven days for larger quantities. The QuikXO™ clock oscillators are the miniature EHTF32, and the ultra-miniature EHTF21, with frequencies from 1 to 200MHz and 1.8, 2.5 or 3.3V voltage with a standard tristate, enable/disable, function.

Frequency control specialist, Euroquartz has introduced a new range of crystal oscillators from Statek Inc. offering tight frequency stability for use in a wide range of high-reliability applications.
The new Statek MTXO tight stability crystal oscillators offer fundamental frequencies from 10 to 50MHz with a total frequency tolerance as low as ±5ppm (including first year ageing) over the military temperature range from -55 to +125°C. Versions offering high shock resistance up to 75,000g – designated MTXOHG – are also available.
Housed in a compact 3.2 x 2.5mm hermetically sealed ceramic package, MTXO crystal oscillators also offer ultra-low period jitter of 1.7ps (RMS) with ultra-low Allan deviation and phase jitter. Suitable for reflow soldering at maximum process temperature of 260°C for 20 seconds, the new MTXOs offer CMOS output into 10pF load with clipped sinewave option available. Additional specifications include low acceleration sensitivity, start up time of 5ms maximum, rise/fall time of 5ns maximum with duty cycle of 45% minimum, 55% maximum.
Supply voltage requirement is 3.3V DC ±10% with typical supply current of just 3mA. Optional military testing is per MIL-PRF-55310 level B with industrial temperature range versions also available. Supply packaging options are tray pack or tape-and-reel per EIA 481.
These new oscillators are ideal for use in a wide range of industrial, defence and aerospace-related applications including RF telemetry, master clock, telecommunications, navigation and handheld devices and instrumentation.

Frequency control specialist, Euroquartz has introduced two new ranges of temperature-compensated crystal oscillators (TCXO) from Greenray Industries Inc. that offer very low acceleration sensitivity and tight temperature stability.
Developed for use as reference oscillators in timing applications, the new T58 and T56 devices are housed in a compact, rugged 5.0 x 3.2mm surface mount package suitable for reflow soldering. These new TCXOs offer a choice of CMOS or clipped sinewave output with frequencies between 10 and 52MHz over the industrial operating temperature range from −40 to +85°C with ±0.05ppm temperature stability. T58 models can also operate over an extended temperature range from −40 to +105°C with ±1ppm temperature stability while the T56 oscillators offer ±1ppm over the full military temperature range from −55 to +125°C. Acceleration sensitivity – worst axis tested at 90Hz, 10g – is 0.8ppb/g as standard for T58 with 0.5ppb/g LG and 0.3ppb/g ULG models available to order. For T56 components, the equivalent specifications are 2ppb/g standard, 0.7ppb/g LG and 0.2ppb/g ULG.
T58 oscillators offer 30,000g shock resistance with screening per MIL-STD-202G, Method 213 while random vibration screening is per Method 214, I-F. For T56 models, shock screening is per MIL-STD-202G, Method 203, I with vibration screening per Method 204, C.
These new oscillators are ideal for use in a wide range of industrial and defence-related applications including telecommunications, high-shock electronics, mobile radio, mobile instrumentation, airborne and wireless communications and microwave receivers. T58 devices can also be used in telecom stratum 3 and smart munitions applications.
Supply voltage requirement is 3.0 to 3.6V DC with supply current of 3 to 6mA. Ageing is ±1ppm in first year and ±4ppm over 10 years for T56 models.

Frequency control specialist, Euroquartz have launched a new range of UK manufactured surface mount military clock oscillators. The new components are manufactured in the company’s recently installed class 7 cleanroom facility and preliminary specifications have been announced encompassing frequencies available from 2.0 to 60MHz.
The new EQXO75BM series oscillators comprise a TTL/CMOS-compatible circuit with a miniature quartz crystal housed in a low-profile ceramic surface mount package measuring 7.0 x 5.0 x 2.5mm. Utilising the latest advances in production technology, the combination of optimised design and high-quality materials provide a high reliability clock oscillator suitable for the defence and aerospace markets. The principal advantages of these UK-manufactured components are that they are free from ITAR regulations with reduced shipping costs. In addition, customers will be able to visit the production facility without facing long haul flights.
Euroquartz’s new SMD EQXO75BM series will complement the company’s existing range of DIL products and will be ideal for use in new designs. The parts can be supplied with or without full military screening all controlled within the AS9100 Quality Management System.

Euroquartz have announced availability of Statek’s new range of miniature high performance quartz crystal oscillators designed and manufactured for high temperature applications. Offering ultra-low power consumption and high shock resistance characteristics, the new CXOLHT surface mount devices are capable of withstanding temperatures up to 200°C.
Housed in 3.2 x 1.5mm, hermetically sealed, non-magnetic ceramic packages, CXOLHT oscillators are available in frequencies from 16kHz up to 50MHz with typical supply current requirements from 30.768kHz frequency output. Supply voltage requirements are 2.5 to 3.3V ±10% with CMOS output load of 15pF. Additional specifications include duty cycle of 45% minimum 55% maximum, ageing in first year of ±5ppm at 25°C and fast start up time of 4 to 8ms depending on frequency.
Two enable/disable options are available offering a tri-state output with oscillation disabled internally when output is put into high Z state.
The CXOLHT oscillators feature frequency stability over temperature range characteristics of ±150 to ±125ppm (25 to 150°C), ±175 to ±150ppm (25 to 175°C) and ±200 to ±175ppm (25 to 200°C) and are capable of withstanding process temperatures up to 260°C for up to 20 seconds. Packaging options are tray pack or tape and reel per EIA 481.
Ideal for use in high shock and vibration environments, applications include downhole instrumentation, underground boring tools, geothermal, measurement while drilling (MWD), industrial and avionics.
The EQHJ range is designed for high end audio and networking applications where waveform accuracy is important.

Offering wide operating temperature range from -40 to +125°C, the new XOY series automotive crystal oscillators feature superior phase noise performance of -155dBc/Hz at 10kHz and -160dBc at 100kHz offset. Femtosecond integrated phase jitter is 150fs typical (12kHz to 20MHz) and frequencies available range from 1.25 to 50MHz.
The new automotive grade components are housed in a 3.2 x 2.5mm surface mount package with supply voltages of 1.8, 2.5 and 3.3V (±10%) available. Additional specifications include 15pF LVCMOS load, rise time of 10ns maximum, start-up time of 5ms maximum and tri-state function as standard. Current consumption is 2.0 to 6.0mA maximum depending on supply voltage and frequency. Ageing is ±2ppm maximum for first year. Solder profile is 260°C max.

The new surface mount devices also offer low g-sensitivity performance making them ideal for use where vibration conditions are encountered.
Greenray’s new N623-1 VCXO offers nominal 100Mhz frequency sinewave output from a 9 x 14mm SMD package with typical phase noise performance ranging from -85dBc/Hz at 10Hz frequency offset up to -175dBc/Hz at 1MHz frequency offset. Phase noise is a critical characteristic in many applications including communications and digital systems as well as high performance radar installations. The new N623-1’s low-g sensitivity performance ensures that phase noise performance is maintained under vibration conditions enabling their use as stable reference sources in communications, aerospace and defence systems and applications.
Additional specifications include supply voltage of 5.0V DC, current requirement of 30mA, typical load of 50Ω, power level at 25°C of 12dBm typical and operating temperature range from -40 to +85°C. Frequency variation over the full operational temperature range is ±15ppm while frequency versus supply voltage is ±1ppm for ±0.25V change. Ageing characteristic over 1 year is less than 1ppm.
Other frequencies and options are available to special order. Environmental specifications include random vibration to MIL-STD-202, Meth 204, Cond A and mechanical shock per MIL-STD-202, Meth 213, Cond C.
Euroquartz has announced a new range of wide operating temperature crystal oscillators that are ideal for use in automotive applications. The new surface mount HY series offers 15pF load LVCMOS output at frequencies from 1.25 to 50.0MHz over the temperature range -40 to +125°C with choice of frequency stability of ±50 and ±100ppm. Frequency stability of ±25ppm is also available over commercial (-10 to +70°C) and industrial (-40 to +85°C) ranges. Euroquartz can also provide non-standard frequency stability specifications if required, e.g. ±20 or ±30ppm.
Offering superior phase noise characteristics of -155dBc/Hz at 10kHz and -160dBc/Hz at 100kHz offset, the new HY series oscillators are available in three package sizes 3.2 x 2.5 x1.0mm, 5.0 x 3.2 x 1.2mm and 7.0 x 5.0 x 1.4mm. Supply voltages for these are 1.8, 2.5 and 3.3V respectively and typical current consumption is 2 to 4mA from 1.25 to 19.99MHz and 4 to 6mA from 20.0 to 50.0MHz depending on package size.
RMS phase jitter is 150fs typical (12kHz to 20MHz integrated). Specifications include ageing of ±2.0ppm/year maximum for first year, start-up time of 5.0ms maximum, rise/fall time of 10ns maximum and duty cycle (symmetry) of 50% ±10% typical with ±5% available as an option.
Frequency control specialist, Euroquartz has launched a new range of miniature surface mount temperature-compensated crystal oscillators (TCXO) offering very low current consumption in real time clock applications.
The EME32T series offers frequency of 32.768kHz for real time clock applications in a 3.28 x 2.5 x 1.3mm miniature SMD 4-pad package with selection of supply voltage encompassing 1.8, 2.5, 3.0, 3.3 and 5.0V options. Very low current consumption – as little as 0.79µA at 1.8V – is a major advantage in battery-controlled applications while frequency stability is just ±5ppm over temperature range from -40 to +85°C.
Frequency stability versus voltage change is ±0.2ppm for a ±5% input voltage change, while frequency stability against ageing is ±3.0ppm maximum for first year.
Additional specifications include initial calibration tolerance of ±1.5ppm at 25°C ±2%, timing error over time of 2.628m/year, CMOS output logic with load of 15pF, 100ns maximum rise and fall time and duty cycle of 50% ±10%. Start-up time is 1s maximum at 25°C (3s maximum over operating temperature range).
Frequency control specialist, Euroquartz has launched a new range of surface mount miniature oven-controlled crystal oscillators (OCXO) offering the best frequency stability from a quartz IT cut crystal.
The OC51T series offers frequencies from 10 to 40MHz in a 9.7 x 7.5 x 4.1mm miniature SMD 4-pad package with 3.3 and 5.0V supply voltage options. With voltage control as standard, OC51T OCXOs deliver frequency stability of ±20ppb (parts per billion) maximum making them ideal for use in applications requiring exceptionally accurate timing signals including radio transmitters, cellular base stations, military communications equipment and for precision frequency measurement.
Frequency stability versus temperature is ±10ppb over -30 to +70°C and ±20ppb over -40 to +85°C. Against voltage change, stability is ±10ppb for a ±5% input voltage change. Warm up time of 5 minutes maximum results in frequency output within ±0.1ppm of reference frequency while frequency stability against ageing is ±3.0ppb maximum after 30 days, ±600ppb maximum first year and ±3ppm maximum over 10 years.
Voltage control specifications allow greater than ±5% reference to nominal frequency at 25°C and over operating temperature range. Control voltage range is +1.65V, ±1.65V.
Additional specifications include 7ns maximum rise and fall time (20-80% of waveform), output load of 15pF, duty cycle of 50% ±5%, power dissipation of 0.4W with 350mA current at turn on. Initial calibration tolerance is 500ppb maximum.
