Industry-first 35V polymer tantalum capacitors	Added March 2009
The latest polymer tantalum chip capacitors from Kemet achieve an industry-first 35V rating, making them suitable for use in military, aerospace, power supply and industrial equipment. The new 35V T521 series brings the advantages of low ESR, low profile, high volumetric efficiency, high reliability and a benign failure mode to applications with power input rails of 20V to 24V and up to 25V continuous duty. The surge voltage capability is in excess of 46V. The first chips to be released are in the low-profile V case with a 15μF capacitance rating and maximum ESR rating of 125 milliohms. Further devices will extend the capacitance value to 22μF or 33μF, in a higher profile case, or offer a smaller footprint with capacitance values up to 6.8μF.
