Updated IECQ-CECC specification
The BSI and IECQ have updated their IECQ-CECC-32101-801 approval for surface-mount capacitors to a new assessment specification. The new QC32100 specification goes beyond the limitations of the original release and covers a wider range of surface-mount capacitors, including 0603 devices, and new voltage ratings of 16Vdc, 25Vdc, 500Vdc and 1kVdc.
QC32100 will allow Charcroft to supply an extended range of CECC-release C0G and X7R surface-mount capacitors from Syfer Technology, with all types of terminations including tin/lead plated versions.
The existing CECC 32101-801 approval will be maintained until 31st March 2008, after which it will be superceded by QC32100. The new approval will not require existing customers to change part numbers or drawings as the QC32100 release document will state that it incorporates CECC 32101-801.
