Vishay

Charcroft and Vishay have a very long and well established relationship; with Charcroft focusing on specific ranges within the Vishay Group. We offer technical support for specific product areas and our internal sales team are fully conversant with all the products we offer.

Below are links to these specific areas with just a few of the products we can offer. Please contact us for anything not on the list.

Vishay was founded in 1962 to manufacture and market foil resistors, an invention of Dr. Felix Zandman, Executive Chairman of the Board and founder. The Company began operations with foil resistors and foil resistance strain gages as its initial product offerings. In 1985, having grown from a start-up into the world’s leading manufacturer of these original products, Vishay began an on-going series of strategic acquisitions to become a broadline manufacturer of electronic components. Today, Vishay is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components.

Vishay’s acquisitions include such top names as Angstrohm, Dale, Draloric, Roederstein, Mallory, Sfernice, Sprague, Tansitor, Techno, Thin Film, Vitramon, and BCcomponents (former passive components businesses of Philips Electronics and Beyschlag). These and other names and the products associated with them are integrated into one global company: Vishay
