A new range of high reliability, rugged, RoHS-compliant Circular Connectors released by Harwin meets the high standards of Mil-DTL-5015 yet is priced to be
cost-effective for commercial and industrial applications. For use in harsh and demanding environments the rugged high specification, cadmium-free range also features free plug, panel mount and cable connector orientations in a number of popular shell and layout options. These cost-effective solutions will offer benefits in power generators, fixed and portable industrial equipment, control cables, machine tools and robotics to name a few market areas. A new Datamate connector offers up to 96 contacts combined with low insertion force. The M83 three-row connector incorporates specially-designed
female contacts that require a mating force of only 0.2 to 1N, yet delivers the same high-reliability performance as existing Datamate connectors.
Conforming to BS 9525-F0033 M83 connectors can withstand high levels of shock, acceleration and vibration in addition to a large number of mating cycles

Hood kits cut the cost of hi-rel cable assemblies Top of Page

New J-Tek Hood Kits from Harwin allow customers make their own robust cable assemblies based on Datamate high-reliability connectors.
The kit comprises a J-Tek Datamate connector with a hermaphroditic-style hood and pre-fitted jackscrews. Separate screws are provided for
joining both halves of the hood to provide a very strong and ergonomic connection. The hood kits eliminate the need for a special
over-moulding on cable assemblies and are available in 6-, 8-, 10-, 12-, 14-, 20-, 26-, 34-, 42- and 50-way versions and can be used
in any cable-to-board or cable-to-cable assembly requiring J-Tek Datamate connectors. |
